The Wakerley District Sports Park is a $7.2M project that’s provided a high-quality sporting precinct and active space for the Wakerley and surrounding bay side suburbs. Featuring six hardstand state-of-the-art netball courts with lighting, a practice turf area, two new carparks, a connecting shared path from Demby Crescent to Manly Road, beautiful landscape areas, amenities building, a clubhouse and more, the new park is an outstanding sports and recreation facility.
The project forms part of a citywide infrastructure planning program to meet the sport and recreation needs in the community.
JSB Lighting was pleased to work with industry partners to deliver an exceptional handrail lighting solution that provides visual comfort, whilst also ensuring safety.
Durability, safety, and glare reduction were key aspects when recommending the Planet Lighting’s LED Puck Snap Asymmetric. The fitting boasts a compact and smooth 316 stainless steel module design that integrated seamlessly into the galvanized handrails. Vertical Asymmetric Beam was selected for some forward throw light onto the path for public safety, and adjusted to then highlight key garden areas.
Furthermore, the LED Puck Snap has an IP67 waterproof rating and IK10 impact rating which combined made it the perfect lighting solution for this outdoor sporting facility that’s subject to varying weather conditions and impact from high-intensity sporting activity.
The LED Puck Snap is vandal resistant, and proudly designed and manufactured in Australia.
